Nursing leadership, collaborative relationships, quality improvement, and patient safety in healthcare organizations: Groups of nurses and other healthcare professionals from outside the United States come to Boston for one (1)- to two (2)- weeks of intensive study to focus on these key areas.
The programs, designed by INHL in collaboration with Boston area academic healthcare institutions, include didactic sessions with expert faculty, group consultation, and local site visits. Sites may include some of the hospitals of the Consortium of Harvard-Affiliated Nursing Services as well as other healthcare institutions, organizations and agencies in Boston.
Program content is based on core curriculum modules developed by INHL and is tailored to the professional development objectives and backgrounds of the participants.
Upon completion of a Short-Term Study program, participants receive a certificate from The Institute for Nursing Healthcare Leadership.
Eligibility. Any international nursing group is welcome to apply. Proficiency in English is required.
Funding. INHL funding to support Short-Term Study participants is not available at this time. Participating nurses are responsible for securing funding for tuition, travel, housing, and meals.
